Bombshell Text Messages Shows Democrat, Mark Warner’s Russia Link

U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- In a bombshell development Senator Mark Warner (D-VA), who is leading the congressional investigation into alleged ties between Russian and President Trump, seems to have his own connection to a lobbyist for a billionaire Russian oligarch who had his visa to the United States revoked for suspected ties to the Russian Mafia.

In a series of text messages between lobbyist Adam Waldman and Mark Warner obtained by FoxNews, the Democratic Senator tried to use Waldman as an intermediary to contact former British spy, Christopher Steele, of the now infamous and discredited anti-Trump Steele Dossier. The Democratic National Committee and the Clinton Campaign paid for the Steele Dossier to smear President Trump. The DOJ and FBI used the opposition research Dossier in the FISA court to get permission to tap Trump’s associate’s phones and communications.

Waldman worked for the Russian Billionaire, Oleg V. Deripaska, from 2009 to 2010 earning a retainer fee of $40,000 a month. The text messages make it clear that Waldman still had some working relationship with Deripaska going as offering to set up a meeting between Warner and the Russian oligarch.

“Deripaska in London Monday-Thursday and I might be able to arrange a mtg w him too if you wish,” Waldman texted Warner, “I discussed it with him today and he seemed interested.”

It is unclear if Warner met with the alleged Russian Gangster. Warner told Waldman he would call to discuss the offer. The text also seems to imply that Waldman was with Deripaska in London at the time of the text exchange.

It also seems that Warner met with Waldman face to face on several occasions. They set up dinner meetings through the text messages. Warner asked Waldman to set up dinner meetings through his scheduler. It is unclear how many of these face to face meetings took place.

Another bombshell revelation that seemed to be missed by the mainstream media is that Waldman also had contact with the Department of Justice.

On March 9th, 2017 Waldman said that the DOJ called him. The text messages do not state the reason for this call, but Warner and Waldman discussed it on a phone call according to the text message exchange.

“PS On the question discussed, they are already aware,” Waldman said in a text exchange. “I have lots of dealings with DOJ relating to my Rus client.”

It also appears that Steele wanted to a non-partisan letter before testifying before Congress. He seemed to get “cold feet” due to all the leaks and the fact that the Wall Street Journal placed a call to Waldman asking if he was an intermediary between Steele and the Senate panel. Steele also asked for written questions from Congress.

“Yes he seems to have cold feet from the leaks. Said he wanted a bipartisan letter followed by written questions,” texted Waldman to Warner.

Waldman also made it clear in the text message exchange that he was acting on behalf of his Russian client when he said, “Hey Mark – please let me know if you want to discuss – My Russian client asked me to engage in specific way w investigation.”

According to a joint statement from the Senate committee, they have had the materials related to the text messages for several months. The committee stated that their investigators had followed all leads. It seems that the members have the committee is not concerned with the text messages between Warner in the lobbyist.

Ammoland reached out to Senator Warner via email, phone, and Twitter. As of this writing, Senator Warner has not responded to our request for comment.
