Ruger rolls out new variants on its Ruger Scout Rifle line as well as the Ruger 77/17 series, launching a .450 Bushmaster for the Scout and .17 WSM for the 77/17.

Ruger announced the new offerings, saying hunters have long requested a Scout Rifle chambered in .450 Bushmaster. The Scout features a stainless steel finish with synthetic stock. Weighing 6.2-pounds, the rifle touts a Ruger Precision Rifle Hybrid Muzzle brake on the 16.10-inch barrel.

Following the success of the 77-Series, the company decided to spice up the line with a .17 WSM version. The bolt-action rifle boasts a 20-inch blued alloy steel barrel paired with an American walnut stock. Tipping scales at just over 5-pounds, the 77/17 offers a capacity of six rounds.

“These two additions to proven Ruger platforms will benefit a wide variety of shooters,” Ruger President and CEO Chris Killoy said in a news release. “Both rifles are examples of how we at Ruger listen to our customers and work hard to deliver on their requests.”

The new rifles are available now with prices set at $999 for the 77/17 and $1199 for the Scout.
