Glock parts makers Shadow Systems introduces the LFT Hybrid Grip Slide designed specifically for the Glock 17 platform. Created in partnership with Dan Brokos of Lead Faucet Tactical, the LFT Hybrid Grip Slide boasts a front gripping surface that utilizes Shadow Systems’ serrations along with a patch of grip tape.
The pairing of the directional serrations and grip tape looks to offer shooters more positive control over the Glock 17 pistol. Shadow Systems also says the LFT Hybrid can also make racking the slide easier for those with weaker grips.
The company said the LFT Hybrid is built to perform in any condition — rain, shine, extreme cold and with or without gloves. Constructed from 17-4 stainless steel, the slide offers aggressive front and rear serrations alongside commercial-adhesive-backed grip tape with chamfers and radiuses throughout the design. The LFT is topped off with an optics mount cut for the Trijicon RMR miniature red dot sight. The slide comes coated in a DLC coating, known for its hardness, lubricity and black color.
Shadow Systems worked with Army Special Forces veteran Brokos who trains both law enforcement and civilians through his company Lead Faucet Tactical. Brokos used his combat experience and training to address problems with pistol slides in high intensity situations.
“The LFT Shadow Systems slide was designed based of years of my and my teammates’ experience. It is inevitable that you will tap rack your slide at some point. Not everything happens in a perfect environment: think cold, wet, rain, stress, gloves, and night! This Slide allows positive rack no matter the condition you are in physically,” Brokos said in a press release.
The LFT Hybrid for the G17 includes hardcoat anodized cover plate, cover plate screws and RMR mounting screws. MSRP is $471.
