Gun Control Fails New Jersey

Second Amendment

Welcome to New Jersey

U.S.A. -(Ammoland.com)-  Two thugs chased a 19-year-old woman across the street, into a store, and then executed her by shooting her 20 times. She died on a weekday afternoon in broad daylight. She was killed in front of witnesses in Trenton, the state capital of New Jersey. The murder was caught on security cameras. Jersey politicians and the news media told us time and again that this could never happen. We were supposed to be safe since the rigorous gun-control laws in New Jersey have disarmed the criminals. That obviously isn’t true and Jersey politicians and the news media lied to us. In fact, honest law abiding people were disarmed while the criminals still have guns. Gun control failed again and today, honest people pay with their lives. Have we had enough?

Gun Control Jersey Style

New Jersey has some of the strictest gun control laws in the United States. The Giffords law center funded by Michael Bloomberg gives New Jersey an A- rating for gun-control. I quote,

“New Jersey has some of the strongest gun laws in the nation.. The state requires the licensing of all firearms dealers and their employees, and requires a permit to purchase any handgun.”

Unfortunately, criminals don’t obey gun laws and they don’t buy their guns from federally licensed dealers.

New Jersey requires a permit to purchase any handgun, rifle, or shotgun. All purchases require a background check. You won’t get your concealed carry permit in New Jersey unless you are a politicians or a judge. Honest law abiding citizens can only buy one gun per month, but it takes months to get police permission to buy a handgun. Add a state-mandated seven day waiting period on top of those delays. Ammunition magazines are limited to a maximum capacity of ten rounds. Jersey gun owners can be charged with a crime if they are late reporting a stolen gun, and honest gun owners can be held liable for the actions that criminals take if the stolen gun is used in a crime.

Jersey gun laws didn’t stop the murderers who shot the 19-year-old woman from getting a gun and carrying their guns in public.

Those laws didn’t stop criminals. It can take an honest person at least half a year to get a firearm legally in New Jersey.  A criminal buys a new one in an hour off the street.

Crime in Trenton

One horrific story is not the same as data. Unfortunately, this story is repeated day after day across the city. Trenton is the 32nd most a dangerous city in the US, though even that does not qualify as the most dangerous city in New Jersey. (That would be Camden at #4.) 94 percent of US cities are safer than Trenton. Your chance of being a crime victim in Trenton are 1 in 26 each year. Even with all the gun laws in New Jersey, the number of crimes in Trenton increased by 9 percent last year. When we look at only violent crimes, Trenton is 249% more dangerous than the US taken as a whole.

Gun Control fails New Jersey

If that is what gun-control looks like, then I don’t want any of it. The reason gun control fails is obvious. In the criminal justice system, only the first crime is expensive: all the other crimes are free. You don’t care if you use a stolen gun or a stolen car once you are going to commit murder. There is no deterrent, no incremental penalty that changes your behavior, once you’re the gang hitman. That is why gun control only disarms honest people..which is what the Dirty Jersey politicians wanted all along.

Gun control works for Jersey politicians but fails for New Jersey. Honest people die because of it.

Have you had enough?

    1. Re: “You won’t get your concealed carry permit in New Jersey unless you are a politicians or a judge. ”
I’m REALLY TIRED of politicians passing laws that affect us while exempting themselves from those same laws! For instance this ^, + a Do Not Call list that they can ignore. + different medical care than we have access to. + yaddayadda…
Isn’t it time for a “One Law Fits All” Constitutional amendment?

    2. And NJ TROOPERS are not supposed to back up ICE POLICE OFFICERS .what are the PBA S doing about this garbage.Dont forget NY GOV coumo calls ICE AGENTS THUGS !! And this pos gets reelected !! LIBERAL NY ASS HOLES……. CALIFORNIA .NY NJ MASS,CONN.MD.ETC WHO IS NEXT ?

      1. There is a reason I live in PA and will NOT visit Scum Jersey. I do NOT visit Communist States. PA has an ahole for a governor but Republicans gained more seats in the PA House and PA Senate thereby neutering our imbecile governor. Too many stupid democRATs re-elected Wolf who is a Wolf and he isn’t even in sheep’s clothing!

  2. Here in Maryland they just had a woman in Baltimore stabbed to death. A woman had a sign stating
she needed money to feed her child. A woman in the front right seat put the window down to offer
some money. A man came along tried to grab her purse a struggle ensued and stabbed her with a knife she died. So do we need knife control too.

    1. I think we should have people control laws! Oh, wait! WE DO!!! That’s why they’re called CRIMINALS! They don’t obey the law! If you could ever make the stupid poloticians understand that, then you might really be on to something!!

      1. I would happily let the states forgo resurfacing roads and cutting grass on the highways if they would use the money to build larger and more secure prisons and sentence the cretins to hard labor until they are broken down and then begin rehab in the prison to get them ready for society. Prison guards that smuggle contraband into the prisons should be locked in prisons far away from relatives and sentences severe enough to be a preventative measure. Any prisoner caught with contraband should be transferred to another facility away form anyone they know. Does this sound harsh, TS , talk to the victims. Most prisoners lives are better than the situation and housing they came from. White collar criminals should be stripped of any wealth acquired and never be allowed to hold another white collar job , they should be relegated to picking up trash along highways. Drug dealers are nothing but accessories to murder and should be sentenced to a swift death, users should be rehabbed 1 time and if they get caught a second time eliminate them too. Don’t forget White collar crime would apply to corrupt politicians, I believe these laws should be enacted solely by a non partisan simple majority vote by the legally registered and identified public. It would be the only national vote by democracy. People would say I’m crazy and too harsh, but reality is I am a very polite and law abiding citizen that realizes corrupt politicians and lunatic fringe has taken over our country.

  3. It’s a shame you let politicians dictate to you what right and wrong. The only thing I can say is buy a gun and keep it close by, better to have one than not. As far as equality goes there will only be three groups, the ones that have guns, the criminals, politicians and armed hires security, and the ones that don’t have a gun. Which will be the victim

    1. If you do that, then you become a criminal, and just like the criminals, you’ll be exempt from gun laws. How ’bout that for a gun permit???

  4. What a shock!!! They made a law to create gun control and only the law abiding citizens adhere to it! Why,……I just can’t believe that!!! You mean to tell me that gun control laws didn’t disarm the criminals??? That’s just unheard of! Why don’t gun laws work for them too??? Oh yeah, that’s right, THEY’RE CRIMINALS!!!!

  5. Well could be worse, see Canada’s bill C-71 to amend the already strict laws. It is also being proposed in parliament to prohibit hand guns country wide as well as “assault style weapons”. Our media had a picture of a hunting riffle on screen and called it an “assault riffle”. Mean while gang shootings are at an all time high.

  6. Get a million people and march on your capital and demand that if you can not have a gun that ignorant politicians and judges can not either..don’t think about it do it..you have a law that says you can have a gun ,,the second ammendment.fight for it or die..,that is the choice you have.,.and another thing..it is your god given right to be able to protect yourself and your loved ones..the family of the lady that got murdered needs to get a lawyer and sue all that was involved with passing a unjust law and they are responsible for her death..

  7. That’s right right they should go after them all plus the state police why not,if they don’t want you to have gun then she shouldn’t of been murdered they should of stop it right, all those in charge should of stopped it they had the guns to stop it

  8. Just a note, you only need a permit to purchase for a handgun, for rifle or shotgun a firearm ID card is required. Depending on your local police it should take 2 to 3 weeks for permit on handguns. There is no 7 day waiting period. Hollow points are only illegal if used in a crime. Go figure
