Stauber is not a defender of the Second Amendment, but a puppet of the gun lobby. He has earned an A rating from the National Rifle Association, which has supported his campaign and applauded his pro-gun record. Stauber’s stance on gun control is out of touch with most Americans, who want stricter gun laws and background checks. He is turning a deaf ear to the victims and survivors of gun violence. He is failing to protect his district and his country from the plague of gun violence. He is in denial that mass shootings could happen in the 8th District. They thought the same in Uvalde, Texas, until an assault weapon shattered children’s futures. Constituents of the 8th District deserve a courageous leader and not a criminal accomplice.
