ILA | Nebraska: Constitutional Carry Floor Debate on Wednesday

Gun News

Constitutional Carry, Legislative Bill 77, is scheduled for a floor debate this Wednesday, March 1st. Anti-gun senators have pledged to filibuster constitutional carry so we expect the debate to take several days. LB 77 recognizes the right of law-abiding adults to carry a firearm for self-defense without having to first pay fees or obtain government permission. Please use the link below to contact your Senator today, and urge them to support this important legislation.

Half of the Nation has now enacted some form of Constitutional Carry. Nebraska is one step closer to becoming the 26th constitutional carry state. Thank you to Senator Tom Brewer, who introduced LB 77, for his leadership in ensuring this legislation moves forward to strengthen Nebraskans’ right to self-defense.

LB 77 does not change who is eligible to obtain a carry permit. It also does not affect previously issued permits, and allows citizens who still wish to obtain a permit in order to carry in other states recognizing Nebraska’s permits, to do so.

Please forward this to your family and friends and encourage them to also contact their lawmakers. Stay tuned to your inbox and www.nraila.org for updates.
