ILA | Louisiana: Consideration of Anti-Gun Measure Deferred to Tomorrow

Gun News

[ad_1]

Last week, the Louisiana House Criminal Justice Committee heard numerous gun bills.  Of those measures, multiple pro-gun bills were passed and the anti-gun bills failed.  However, one anti-gun measure, House Bill 209, was unable to be heard and has now been scheduled for consideration tomorrow.  Please contact committee members and ask them to OPPOSE House Bill 209.

House Bill 209 looks to gut Louisiana’s preemption statute and allow for certain parishes to create their own regulations related to firearms and ammunition.  Maintaining a strong and intact State Preemption law is important to prevent a patchwork of differing gun laws across the Sportsman’s Paradise.

Again, please contact members of the House Criminal Justice Committee and ask them to OPPOSE House Bill 209.
