The Culver City Council will be holding a special meeting tomorrow, Thursday, April 2 at 8:00 pm to determine whether to classify firearm and ammunition retailers as essential or non-essential businesses in light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The meeting was prompted by recent guidance issued by Department of Homeland Security and positions taken by Los Angeles County. The agenda is not yet available but will be posted at least 24 hours before the meeting time.
Please submit a comment supporting firearm and ammunition retailers as an essential business by sending an email to public.comment@culvercity.org. These comments will be read for the record.
If you would like to watch the meeting it can be viewed live in Culver City on Channel 35 by Time Warner subscribers, on Channel 37 by Frontier FIOS subscribers, and channel 99 for AT&T Uverse subscribers. A live stream is also available on YouTube and the City’s website.
Your NRA-ILA will continue to monitor this situation and will report on further developments.
