I worked in Indianapolis in 2018. The grassroots skills I received during this time, I would have not gotten as quickly anywhere else. As a CFR, you are a public speaker, event organizer, and a grassroots professional. Most importantly, you are one of the few working with the NRA-ILA defending your 2nd Amendment rights as a team-member for the oldest civil rights organization in the United States of America.
Hannah – Being a CFR during a Presidential election year was such an exciting experience. Although COVID threw a wrench in many events we had planned in 2020, I was able to become deeply involved in the community and connect with many Second Amendment supporters. One of the highlights of the 2020 cycle was organizing and attending a members meeting with candidates running for state and local positions. I also had the opportunity to get to know the folks at the local gun shop in my area. I had the privilege of advocating for candidates that are staunch Second Amendment protectors and I’m glad I was able to participate and make a difference in the 2020 election as a Campaign Field Representative in North Carolina.
