THE BEAUTY OF THIS IS THIS IS NOT ABOUT REPUBLICANS OR DEMOCRATS OR INDEPENDENTS EVEN THE HIGHEST LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL IN NEW MEXICO, THE ATTORNEY GENERAL HAS SAID HE WILL NOT DEFEND HER. THE MOVE COMES AFTER MULTIPLE ACTS OF GUN VIOLENCE OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS. THIS 11 YEAR OLD AND ALL THESE PARENTS WHO HAVE LOST ALL THESE CHILDREN, THEY DESERVE MY ATTENTION TO HAVE THE DEBATE ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT IN AN EMERGENCY, WE WE CAN CREATE A SAFER ENVIRONMENT CAN’T BECAUSE WHAT ABOUT THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS? The Republican Party of New Mexico is calling for Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham to resign after declaring a 30-day suspension on right to carry open and concealed firearms following recent fatal shootings

The Republican Party of New Mexico announced its preparation of a lawsuit against Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and New Mexico Secretary of Health Patrick M. Allen on Tuesday, Sept. 12. The First Amendment is your right of the press to be able to speak plainly to the people,” Republican Party of New Mexico chairman Steve Pearce said. Q: Is there an underlying fear to think that the public health order may be extended?Pearce: There is obviously a fear that it would be extended, but the greater fear is that it was implemented at all. That she even has the idea that she could bridge the Constitution, that it did not apply. Sure, there’s the idea that it’s going to be used further. That’s the reason our lawsuit is going not only out of the Second Amendment protection, but it is digging down to that health order that she claims is the right. That is not the right to take away anybody’s freedom and it is not the right to abridge any constitutional provision.”Our lawsuit doesn’t just deal with the guns. It’s going to deal with her ability to use these health orders and executive orders. Our lawyers said it is a very difficult case to win.
