Pirro called out the Governor for working towards something that is “unconstitutional” and leaving the huge population of the city incapable of protecting themselves and their loved ones.

The judge was also upset with Grisham for not focusing on the leniency of criminal laws, which according to her have caused much havoc in Albuquerque with its rising crime rates.

‘The Five’ host Pirro called the New Mexico Governor “ignorant” and “arrogant” for her attempts to place a gun ban in ABQ.

“The truth is, she doesn’t have the power to suspend the constitution,” Pirro pointed out.

“I don’t know what’s worse, her ignorance or her arrogance. Her arrogance in thinking that as a local Governor, she’s going to suspend the Second Amendment to the Constitution or ignorance to the Second Amendment and the fact that the US Supreme Court has repeatedly affirmed the right of people to carry arms…”

Pirro also slammed the Governor for not thinking through her adamance for placing the gun ban. When asked if the gun ban would forbid people from owning them illegally, Grisham had responded negatively.

“There is no point [to the gun ban],” Pirro commented, “If she really wants to fight crime, she could start getting rid of the cashless bail. She might consider amping up her police departments, making sure that they start closing cases, issuing arrest warrants, do string operations on gun sales. There’s a million things she could do.”

Jeanine Pirro calls gun ban Michelle Lujan Grisham’s election strategy

Pirro claimed that the New Mexico Governor might be emphasizing the need for a gun ban as part of the upcoming election’s strategy.

She noted that the Governor was blocked by a federal judge from making any progress in the ban placement.

“Her own Attorney General said ‘that’s unconstitutional, I’m not going to defend you’,” Pirro added, “And the Judge who says this is unconstitutional was appointed by Biden.”

Pirro suggested she might be working on “upping her profile” by working on the gun ban “as the party starts moving away from Joe Biden.”

“It is a sad commentary on the left totalitarian thinking that we’re going to suspend the Constitution on a public health emergency,” the judge said, “You can’t, you won’t and that’s the end of it.”
