Second Amendment

WASHINGTON, DC (LOOTPRESS) — Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) has joined Congressman Richard Hudson (R-NC) and over 120 other lawmakers in introducing the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, a bipartisan effort to establish nationwide reciprocity for concealed carry license holders and residents of Constitutional Carry states.

The legislation, introduced as the 119th Congress begins its session, aims to ensure that individuals with concealed carry permits can legally carry firearms across state lines without being hindered by varying state laws.

“The fundamental right to bear arms and defend oneself should not be determined by the state you live in,” said Congresswoman Miller. “I joined Congressman Hudson and 120 of our colleagues in introducing the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, which allows Americans with concealed carry licenses or permits to conceal carry in every state. I am hopeful this bill will pass in the House of Representatives and the Senate and be signed into law by President Trump.”

Congressman Hudson echoed Miller’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of protecting Second Amendment rights nationwide. “Our Second Amendment right does not disappear when we cross invisible state lines, and this commonsense legislation guarantees that,” he said. “The Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act will protect law-abiding citizens’ rights to conceal carry and travel freely between states without worrying about conflicting state codes or onerous civil suits. I am proud to see such strong and widespread support, and I will not stop fighting to get this legislation signed into law.”

Broad Support from Second Amendment Advocates

The proposed legislation has garnered strong backing from major pro-Second Amendment organizations, including:

  • The NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA)
  • Gun Owners of America (GOA)
  • The U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA)
  • The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF)

Supporters argue that the act will provide clarity and consistency for law-abiding gun owners traveling between states, ensuring their rights are upheld nationwide.
