United States: A gathering of fury turned fierce on Sunday as close to 60 individuals — some notably underage — found themselves shackled by San Francisco police following a protest that ignited into disorder outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility.
Fueled by outrage over sweeping deportation raids executed across California and beyond, hundreds swarmed the vicinity of the federal agency’s offices. What began as a unified demonstration soon frayed at the seams, evolving into a volatile showdown between impassioned protesters and San Francisco officers clad in full riot regalia.
“We saw the escalation in LA and said, ‘Not here,’” voiced Nancy Kato, an on-site protester, speaking to KGO. “Targeting undocumented communities — the most fragile — is brutally unjust.”
The protest ignited near Sansome and Washington Streets, brushing against the financial heartbeat of the city. San Francisco Police were already on alert, observing as tension mounted. Eventually, tempers flared, and the atmosphere shifted from resistance to recklessness, according to the reports by CNN.
According to authorities, demonstrators engaged in destruction — vandalizing infrastructure, launching assaults, and wreaking havoc. The gathering was soon deemed an “unlawful assembly.” While a wave of attendees dispersed, a defiant cluster refused to yield.
Chaos spiraled further as the unrest surged toward Market and Kearny Streets. Protesters scrawled graffiti, shattered windows, and vandalized a patrol cruiser. A final standoff unfurled on Montgomery Street, where demonstrators rejected dispersal commands. Police closed in, handcuffing non-compliant individuals. A single firearm was seized amidst the disorder.
Two officers endured injuries amid the melee; one required hospital care, though his condition wasn’t life-threatening.
SFPD released a stark declaration: “San Francisco honors the freedom to protest — but strikes against our officers, or the community’s safety, won’t be endured.”
Investigators remain deep in review, withholding further disclosures as they sift through surveillance and testimonies.
Parallel Tumult in Los Angeles: Downtown Lockdown Following Violent Episodes
Simultaneously, across California, downtown Los Angeles bore witness to similar unrest. According to CNN’s Marybel Gonzalez, throngs once amassed in the heart of LA had largely thinned by Sunday evening — but the show of force from law enforcement continued to swell.
Gonzalez reported from near the Metropolitan Detention Center — the epicenter of protest — where a dense security presence had taken root. Police barricades choked streets, a sheriff’s department armored vehicle lumbered into view, and National Guard troops marched in formation, as CNN reported.
Aerial surveillance buzzed above as helicopters circled, surveying the fractured calm from above.
Law enforcement collared at least 27 individuals in Los Angeles. Arrests were made for volatile acts such as hurling Molotov cocktails at officers and using a motorcycle to charge a police perimeter.
Though LAPD has requested reports of looting, Gonzalez noted minimal direct accounts. “We’re seeing scorched streets, disfigured cars, and walls shouting back with painted obscenities,” she reported.
This is what a real invasion looks like, all a legacy of the corrupt, woke globalist Biden, his administration, and the democrat crime syndicate.
The President sending in the National Guard, is what law, and order looks like, and the work that ICE is doing, is called returning the invaders back to where they came from.
