Russia Rallies Behind Iran After U.S. Strikes; Zelenskyy Slams ‘Ayatollah Putin’

news

Tensions escalate globally as the United States launches missile strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, prompting swift condemnation from Russia.

United States: A rift ripples across geopolitical lines as Tehran and Moscow rally in synchronized accord following America’s missile salvo against Iranian nuclear sites. Russian emissaries swiftly decried the assault, dispatching stern signals that Iran’s atomic trajectory would not be halted, and welcomed Iran’s envoy for high-level deliberations in Moscow.

Simultaneously, Ukrainian head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with sharpened rhetoric, targeted “Ayatollah Putin” via a blistering post on X — forecasting a grim path for regimes immersed in repression and ruin. With Russia shunned across western fronts for its brutal incursion into Ukraine, the Kremlin now seeks a strange credibility as global negotiator.

Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs lambasted the airstrikes, labeling them an “egregious affront to international order, a defilement of the UN Charter, and defiance of Security Council decrees.”

Dmitry Medvedev, second in command at Putin’s national security circle, ominously asserted that several undisclosed nations stood ready to equip Tehran with nuclear armament. He remarked that the American offensive inflicted “trivial” harm and would not derail Iran’s atomic pursuit.

From Istanbul, Iran’s foreign minister revealed intentions to arrive in Moscow the same day, eyeing critical discussions with President Putin scheduled for Monday, according t euronews.com.

“Iran counts Russia among its closest comrades, sharing a fortified strategic alliance,” he announced, stressing deep-rooted diplomatic synchronization.

“We perpetually engage in tactical discourse, aligning our stances,” Foreign Minister Araghchi emphasized, alluding to Russia’s pivotal role in the UN’s nuclear pact concerning Tehran.

He concluded, “Tomorrow’s audience with President Putin will carry heavy substance—we continue to advance in tandem.”

Zelenskyy Dismantles Kremlin’s Moral Posturing

From Kyiv, Zelenskyy skewered Moscow’s indignation, branding it a theatre of double standards. In his X post, he accused Russia of scorning ceasefires, instead choosing to escalate conflict under a mask of outrage.

“‘Ayatollah Putin’ ought to study his kindred spirits in Tehran—tyrannies breed ruin and erosion from within,” he cautioned with blistering clarity.

Zelenskyy continued, “Russia craves confrontation. They rattle sabres and spit thinly veiled threats. This suggests either the international squeeze isn’t biting hard enough yet, or they’re clinging desperately to façade,” as per euronews.com.

He ended with a punch: “The Russian economy is already in freefall—we’ll keep fueling that descent.”
