[ad_1] SPRINGFIELD (WGEM) – The Illinois House approved a plan to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines around 1 a.m. on Friday. The plan passed on a 64 to 43 vote. Senate Bill 2226 bans the manufacture, sale, possession and delivery of assault-style weapons. It also bans high-capacity magazines containing over 12 rounds of ammunition.
